
Forgetting the console password to a switch is annoying but resetting is easy!
This was done on a Huawei S5720
NO config will be changed apart from the console port configuration
Connect to the console port
Power Cycle the switch
Entering The BootLoad Menu
During the reboot look for Press Ctrl+B or Ctrl+E to enter BootLoad menu:
and enter Ctrl+b. Then enter the default password.

The default password is Admin@huawei.com
4. Clear console password
After pressing Ctrl+b you will be shown this menu. You will need to select option 7.

Note: Clear password for console user? Yes or No(Y/N): Y <----- Enter Y
Clear password for console user successfully.
Note: Choose "1. Boot with default mode" to boot, then set a new password
